Description

"Glamour pic" of an redhaired elven warrioress. Basically the aim was to paint an attractive RPG-inspired female, so I hope you'll pardon the cliché

So before people start to complain about it being done a million times over: That was exactly my intention. This was not to score originality points

Hope you take that into account when commenting.
Fully painted with Satori FilmFX from scratch, no references used.

the hand that's holding the sword looks a lil odd imho... other then that i cant think of any crits.. i cant believe you didnt use any ref... this is really really great! wonderful job!

I miss some extra colors in the ground she stands on to make it more solid. It's very flat and transparent now.

Very nice! Love the armor's details. I'm not diggin' the hands, though. Both hands look a little off to me. The hand with the sword looks too small and a little unnatural. The other hand is good for the most part, but I think you've overdetailed the segments of the fingers--reminds me of Poser figures.

Those are minor critiques, though! This is a wonderful piece!

Oh...I'm being petty, but the sword wouldn't fit in the sheath :-/

Pros:

The colouring and details are very nice, textures are good.

Cons:

The anatomy is very stiff and unnatural looking, everything looks very air brushed, try getting some stronger strokes in there. In real life there are strong shadows and highlights as well as soft. The idea is very unoriginal,(sorry) the very fact that she's a pointy eared babe with a sword should screem "I've been done a million times" to you before the idea reached completion.

Overall opinion/feedback:

Overall a nice painting let down by an unoriginal idea, over airbrushing and slightly off anatomy, use reference for the best results. Keep it up.
